Best Restaurants for Foodies in Glen Allen

We had a reservation at 1:00pm on Christmas Eve to celebrate my husband's birthday. We arrived at 12:40pm and were promptly seated. We were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was not crowded. Our server was just the right level of attentive - he kept our drinks filled and made sure everything was taken care of without being intrusive. The food was abundant and excellent. My husband particularly enjoyed the flank steak and beef ribs, commenting on how flavorful and tender they were. I especially enjoyed the salad bar. Everything I tried was delicious, and the blue cheese dressing was the best I have ever had!

We really enjoyed the Wine Whisperer. The staff was very knowledgeable about wine. Our server recommended some great selections. Our food was all good .. shishitos, whipped feta, lamb lollipops, flatbread, tacos… all were delicious. The ambience is as good as it can be .. looking out on a strip mall parking lot is hard to disguise!

I had high expectations for Stella's based on all of the positive reviews over the years and Stella's totally lived up to the expectations and, in fact, exceeded expectations. Our server Hannah knew the menu quite well and was able to make on point recommendations to us about the food and the beverages. She did a great job describing all of the specials to us. The portions here are large so come hungry. You will get your money's worth!! The first page of the menu is meze which can be shared. I saw several people get the saganaki which looked delicious and provided a fun viewing since it comes out on fire. The next page is full of traditional Greek dishes. I had the salad on special as my appetizer - spinach, toasted pita, almonds, pomegranate arils and cheese. Delicious and huge - we could have shared it. My entree was the pastichio but over pasta. Also huge and yummy. Our dessert was the chocolate ouzo moussed. SO GOOD. I can't wait to return to Stella's.

Our overall experience was excellent. The staff did an amazing job for our son’s graduation lunch. I believe one of the waitresses name is Tameka. Please, forgive me if I mentioned the name incorrectly. The ambience, decor, food, and staff were all superb!! I will highly recommend “Small Batch Kitchen” to my family and friends. Shout out to the chef for delicious and elegant cuisine. The staff designed and created unique menus and table decor especially for our graduate. It was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant.
