Mr. Pate opened the doors to what would soon become one of Cape Cod’s most beloved restaurants.     Our New Year's Day lunch was wonderful. We were seated in the sunny front of the tavern and had the most exceptionally pleasant server. My friend's quiche and salad was described as very good and my fish and chips confirmed my choice was on-point. The french fries are the best. Only downside was, when first seated the restaurant wasn't nearly full and the noise level was very high. By the time we left, most tables were filled, so the noise was understandable at that stage. Still, this could be my new favorite eatery in Chatham.
