Best Restaurants for Groups in Chinatown

The food that Rob Feenie is putting out is simply outstanding. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing. It was a costly evening, but it was for a special occasion and we enjoyed the food and pairings immensely. My only complaint is the wine list. There are no bottles of red for less than $100, which just seems overly pretentious.

Brought our young kids (both under 10) to the restaurant and we had a great time in a corner booth. Our waiter was super attentive and gave us a lot of grace even with a ruckus that our kids would normally be up to. They are behaved but kids nonetheless, with gripes, excitement and energy. A beautiful space for an elegant family dinner which was a welcome upgrade to the regular weekday dinner we would usually have at a Whitespot.

We went during happy hour, ordered cocktails followed by a bottle of the Syrah-Grenache. For appetizers we shared pepperoni pizza, fried chicken, hummus with toasted sourdough and beets on a bed of whipped feta. All excellent. PS I wear hearing aids and they accommodated me by putting me us in a quieter area of the restaurant. Much appreciated.

Wonderful lunch. It was quite noisy because of some Holiday gatherings and the staff were apologetic about that - but, hey, it’s great to see a place doing good business in the holiday season.

It’s been a while since we’ve been to the Irish Heather. But every time we do go (and we’ve been to all the locations) we have a great time. Food, service and vibe is always fantastic.
