Best Restaurants for Groups in Lake Highlands

I had a delicious meal and appetizer. I got the ribeye and I had burrata. I came for the oyster special, but they substituted the burrata and I wasn’t mad at it because that was delicious. I only had a couple complaints, I was celebrating a special occasion and nothing was done about it. Additionally, I don’t know why they’d allow me to make a reservation for 8:30 when they close at 9 on a Wednesday. The kitchen closed before we could finish our order and it was just disappointing. Still had good service and good food.

Edwin is what makes Al's so special. Edwin greeted us at the entrance with handshakes and hugs and already had our cocktail order ready when we sat down. Our evening with friends was spectacular and the KC strip on special was by far the best steak I have ever had from all the best steak houses I have had the opportunity to visit on my travels. Not sure what the chef did given aged beef is aged beef, but the flavor profile of the steak was something I have never experienced before For those in the Dallas area, Al's thanksgiving is phenomenal..

Overall good, but service was not up to normal standards with longer waits upon arrival, for drinks, for appetizers and dinner.

The food is always top notch here and wait staff attentive. My wife and I really love this place. The food is a little pricy but delicious. One think I must mention is the fact they have changed the glasses they use for espresso martinis. The waitress told us that the manager swears hat they are they hold the same volume as the previous glass. I don't believe it and I am most likely not alone in this perception. Even if the manager is right it gives people the impression of "shrinkflation". They need to go back to the old glasses.
