When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. Cafe Momentum is a non-profit restaurant that serves as a paid post-release internship for juvenile offenders. Youth are released from detention into the sheltered environment of Café Momentum’s post-release program. Café Momentum’s program teaches critical skills that allow youth to re-enter society in a safe, real-world environment of nurturing accountability. By participating in our program, at-risk young people rotate through every aspect of the restaurant from waiting tables to washing dishes, while working side-by-side with established chefs. I've been to the Zodiac Room on numerous occasions starting back in the mid-80's. If the walls could talk I'm certain the stories would be fascinating! The food and service is superb! The legacy chicken consommé and pop-overs are amazing! If you are in downtown Dallas and looking for an elegant, yet comfortable lunch spot, book a table. You won't be sorry and it will be time well spent on lunch!

This was my first time eating at Dakotas and it did not disappoint. I researched several steakhouses in Dallas where I could celebrate my birthday with friends and this one had great detailed reviews including reviews about Brian so I was so thankful he ended up being our server. He was so kind, patient and knowledgeable about the menu! He made this dining experience even more lovely. Will definitely be back and will ask for Brian!

Everything was incredible!!! The atmosphere and the staff were exceptional. And THE FOOD!!!!! Exceptional is too low of praise for the food. The food was absolutely world class! Highly recommend!

This has been a favorite place for us to visit when we have something to celebrate. We had family from out-of-town, and friends who joined to make a party of 8 people. We were placed in the private room which made us feel special. The food was the star. Our waiter Edis was very helpful and friendly, and we appreciated how attentive he was. The restaurant was great about a special diet which was very nice. It is not a budget place - but it will remain high on our list for special occasions.

Nice experience for a good Saturday outing. We ended up not dining at the scout but rather had drinks and played games. It was not crowded due to the time we arrived. Perfect Sunday meet up spot.
