We haven't been to Back Burner in some a couple years, but in my search, I noticed they were open for C.Eve. I made us reservations right away. It was the perfect place for our Christmas Eve dinner. The menu was a special holiday selection, so it was simple, but still had a nice variety of options to satisfy any taste we had (from steak to seafood to pasta). The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Not only will we return, but we would spend our holiday here again if the opportunity arose. Thank you for taking such great care of us!More infoBack Burner RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Hockessin•4.5

Food is consistently good, new items often appear on the menu and the preparations are always flavorful and interesting. When newcomers move to or visit Wilmington and ask for a restaurant recommendation, I always refer them to Piccolina Toscana because I know they will have a memorable experience. Pasta's are phenomenal, thin crust pizzas are savory and delicious, fish dishes are cooked to perfection and side dishes are always interesting Dan Butler, owner and chef, takes pride in his restaurant and knows what his customers like. He has great take out menus, does catering, and tonight in honor of an Italian Christmas tradition, he included a pre-fixe "Feast of of the Seven Fishes' to his regular menu which is what I ordered. From the tuna tartar to the cod in lemon and the house made fettuccini with spinach, each bite was bursting with flavor. Thank you Dan Butler!! You always get it right!!More infoPiccolina ToscanaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Wilmington•4.6

The cocktails had a nice punch but didn't bowl you over with the distinct burn. The seafood tower was fresh and paired with the most amazing sauces. The steaks were so tender, I barely needed a knife and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were so light but flavorful. Then the creme brulèe was prepared with such thought that every bite was crisp and accompanied with a silky cream. Paired with the latte, this was a prefect meal in a beautifully curated atmosphere with the most charismatic and timely service provided by our server, Teddy. This is the perfect venue for a date night or big event, don't miss out on Tonic!More infoTonic Seafood and SteakPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Wilmington•4.5
