We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. Great service, with very attentive and helpful staff. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the bone marrow with onions appetizer. The dish we wanted to try was sold out (the chateaubriand), so we opted for a rib eye and rump instead. We ordered three sides, all of which were delicious. The steaks were delicious , although the rib eye was tad over our preferred done-ness, and a the rump was a little tougher than we expected. The staff listened to our feedback and gave us a discount. We appreciate how seriously they took our feedback despite us assuring them the food was still good. This shows how important the customer experience is to them. Thank you.

Out of 10 stars I would rate this place 100*. One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. 🎉 In summary.. - amazing steak & sides - Blacklock red wine that perfectly complements steak - beautiful, warm venue - flawless service - extraordinary value We both had ribeyes perfectly cooked to medium & medium rare. Tender, juicy, tasty and near perfect seasoning. There's a smoky flavour that you rarely experience in the UK but is a signature for high-end US steakhouses. Either way another added dimension of great flavour. A kale/parmesan side dish provided a great contrast to the steak. The sweet potato another solid side. Our wine was the Blacklock Syrah red which is a wine clearly designed by God for steak. I'm not a expert but it had a perfect acidity to cut through the fattiness of the ribeye and refresh the palate with every sip. 🍷 Lovely dining atmosphere that would work whether you're with friends, family, business, date-night or dining alone. Even the table spacing was just right. Glassware on the table is also interesting and unique. It's all this attention to detail that just keeps adding to the experience. The service was flawless. Attentive, informed with a relaxed friendliness. As I'm sure many others have remarked the pricing & value of Blacklock is truly extraordinary. Normally you get great food, service, wine & venue but then pay through the nose for it. Not at Blacklock. Blacklock seems to harken back to an old-school community capitalism with a conscience. Let's create an amazing experience, treat our people well so they in turn treat our customers well. And then price it in a way that is comfortably sustainable for the enterprise while allowing as many in our community as possible to be part of the experience. Beautiful. 🙌 Bravo Blacklock. You told us you put the restaurant in a basement because you set out to become a 'destination restaurant.' From where we sat & ate you definitely achieved that.

I chose to take my family here for a "catch up" meal (we live in France now) because it's a place I used to visit with friends when I was in my early twenties. The place didn't disappoint, it still has the same rustic charm, warm welcome and excellent food. My son and his wife are already planning to make regular visits, especially in the summer.
