The food and service is always excellent, awesome value for the money! And the atmosphere is always relaxed, inviting while still being just a touch up-scale. We enjoyed an evening of appetizers, cocktails and dinner; eight of us! Not one suggestion for improvement. To top it all off, everyone had smiles on their faces. We have promised ourselves to not let our memories lapse and more frequently take advantage of all Tropicale has to offer!! I could name two or three other local establishments, all on Palm Canyon, that draw locals (us) and visitors. Tropicale is FAR superior in every aspect. You won’t be disappointed. I strongly suggest reservations.More infoThe TropicalePrice: Expensive• Californian• Palm Springs•4.7

Our server was top notch both in his friendliness and skills, they don't come much better than this. The only glitch is my husband's food came and when he took a couple of bites he realized it wasn't what he ordered as there was no chicken and large shrimp in the pasta, plus he thought it was supposed to be a different pasta. They quickly changed out his meal and brought the correct one super fast and all was good. My dinner was salmon, a very nice large piece with very large delicious asparagus and coconut/pineapple jasmine rice. It turns out that it was way too sweet for me but the salmon wasn't flavored with it, only the rice plus there was more sauce to add to the salmon, which I didn't. I wouldn't order it again unless I could just get the whole meal seasoned nicely with no fruit flavoring (I personally like a Thai coconut flavor so thought I would like this too but the added pineapple flavor didn't work for me so the rice was the only part that I didn't finish. We didn't stay for dessert as we were off for drink somewhere else but we will look forward to dining there again when we are in town - it was really nice and very special. This restaurant knows how to treat their customers very well.More infoSpencer's RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Palm Springs•4.8

For an elevated restaurant (which I include a handful of locations) my husband and I say Mr Lyons is at the apex. From the selection of food and wine to the ambience and friendly wait staff, this was an all-round enjoyable meal. We were not rushed. We dined outside in a quiet corner near the fire. Our server was diligent in making sure my husband’s meal was gluten-free (there were several choices). Come here for a special night out. You won’t be disappointed!More infoMr. LyonsPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Palm Springs•4.4

We had a waiter called Nicholas and he was the best Waiter we have had in living memory. So gracious never imposing always there when you need him and invisible when you don’t. If I owned a restaurant, I would certainly poach him or at least send my staff to dine there and learn from his polished execution!!More infoLe VallaurisPrice: Very Expensive• French• Palm Springs•4.7
- RRickCoastal Georgia •27 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe try to pick great restaurants for our dinner while vacationing. Since we wanted to take the tram anyway and the menu at The Peak seemed interesting, we got late afternoon tickets, saw a beautiful sunset, watched the lights come on across the valley and got a real surprise...the best meal so far in Palm Springs. The menu looked good; chef was supposed to be talented; prices were comparable to the restaurants we have been enjoying so we took a gamble not expecting greatness and hoping for good. We were astounded! We went to some of the big-name places in Palm Springs and have enjoyed a week of great dining, but The Peak amazed us. Service was good as one might expect. Some of the places we visited were nicer discounting the fact that we were at 8500 feet above sea level. The food was what surprised us. Great Osso Bucco and the Mushroom Ravioli was top notch! Best food on this vacation and a perfect Old Fashion too. We didn't expect this degree of fine dining as a part of our arial tram adventure, but we are so glad we gambled and were big winners!More infoPeaks RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Palm Springs•4.4
