Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den. The menu is arranged in a tapas style, serving traditional Japanese small plates along with dishes infused with international flavors and textures. My friend and K really enjoyed Linger! We ordered the pork belly bao, sweet fries, and charred edamame for a shared dinner. All of the food was packed with flavor and delicious. She ordered an old fashioned and I ordered the Thai tea cocktail. She enjoyed her old fashioned and said it was very orange forward, I was unfortunately not a fan of my cocktail but I think only because of personal preference. Overall I still would give it a 5/5. Ambiance was great but it was a tad loud. Looking forward to going back and trying more things!

We were the last table on a Tuesday night and you would have thought we were the first table on a Saturday night. From the complementary Prosecco to the fantastic Charcuterie board to the even better pasta(I’m from the east coast and it’s great pasta) Cat our server was the best.
