Best Restaurants for People Watching in Dana Point / Monarch Beach

Every time we visit Laguna we have to eat at Mozambique. It never dissappoints. The menu has some unique items you can’t get everywhere. The Durban Curry is my husband’s go to dish. The service is always great too. We had Greg as our server for a second time and he’s awesome.

We made a reservation on 2/13 as an early vday and birthday celebration for my husband. When we arrived there was one other table at the restaurant. The experience was intimate, the selection was abundant, and the service was excellent. The flavor was perfect. Definitely worth the money.

My family has enjoyed Harpoon Henry’s for many decades now!! Lovely people, great fresh sea food, salads and sandwiches— and in beautiful Dana Pt. We are very sad to hear they will be closing their doors in the coming months. Our family thanks all of the Harpoon Henry’s “family” for all of the years of fabulous food, service and a special place where we celebrated life’s special moments together.

I always enjoy this restaurant. As a wine club member it’s a great deal. This was my first time going to their brunch and the pesto omelet with goat cheese was delicious. Shout out to Jeffrey the manager and kudos to Ben the bartender for such great service.

Made the reservation at Fin but likely didn’t need to because we were the only people seated near the sushi bar and the Hotel Laguna restaurant had plenty of seating with the same menus. The food was great and with all of our plates cleaned we had zero complaints! The charred edamame and Sunset roll were my favorites!!
