Masala Art offers combinations you don't see often around here, but even its more familiar dishes can be revelations. Consider its samosas. They're flakier than a lot of the competition, and their filling of peas, potatoes and sweet raisins tastes fresher, too. A burst of cardamom in every bite helps. In the same vein, soft logs of minced lamb pulse with heat from jalapeno peppers, a shock offset with breezy mint.     Once again, Persimmon came through with terrific food--and they do that CONSISTENTLY. The service was totally professional and friendly as well--tops in my book. And while Persimmon is not the fanciest restaurant around, it's ambience is totally comfortable and welcoming. Everyone here is doing a superb job. This is one great restaurant, and I am so happy they are less than a mile from my home.

    Even after not having been here in a long while, it's still charming, warm, and the food is exuberant.. if food can be that!! Wine also great and it was not an expensive one either. Service was attentive, quiet and professional. Great spot to go for dinner for any occasion but know it will be worth it. Noise level increased because a big party at a long table nearby but even so, we were able to carry on a conversation pretty well. i'll be back and it will be sooner.

    My family has dined at Bistrot Lepic since it opened more than 20 years ago and it is oir culinary home aqay from home. It is a cut above most French restaurants ih the DC area and has a warm and welcoming ambience.
