Best Restaurants for Quiet Conversation in Ozone Park

Our wonderful birthday celebration could not have been more delightful, made even better by Julio’s charming and considerate service. He was super attentive and efficient, a real pro with a personality that was endearing without being overwhelming. The food was plentiful and superb, the pre theater menu is a real plus. The room was warm and welcoming and we had a great night!

Sandro’s Our first visit to Sandro’s was so very good. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff was exceptional. From the host and hostess, to the waiter, to the busboys, everyone is on top of their game. Our excellent waiter made spot on wine, appetizer and entree recommendations. The lemon pasta was very yummy. The halibut special was delicious, perfectly cooked in a tasty, light sauce. The thinly sliced ribeye over broccoli rabe was simple, plain and thoroughly enjoyed. The atmospheric warmth and “neighborhood gem” vibe was palpable. (Sadly, it’s not in our neighborhood.) The birthday cookies and grappa were lovely, complimentary additions to an already great meal. Sandro’s is worth the 30 block uber ride, even on a frigid January evening…. We will happily return.

Good was delicious. Limited appetizer options in my opinion. Also limited on available spirits. The bar selection seemed light and no blue cheese stuffed olives for the martini. Overall the service was good and the porterhouse was perfectly season and cooked.

Excellent food and the Lamb Adana was amazing. Great for lunch
