- KKennyBaltimore / Maryland •1 review4.0Dined 1 day agoSalty Sow is reliably very good! I love going during Happy Hour and sharing their signature Duck Fat Fries, which are always more decadent than anyone ever expects. The Chicken Liver Mousse and Smoked Fish Rillette are other HH shareable staples that never fail to delight. The Rpasted Organic Beet salad is the best version in the city - a simple earthy acidic dish spiked with crumbles of sweet pistachio brittle and drops of honey-whipped goat cheese. People can argue that the namesake pork belly is the best main, but they’re sleeping on the low-key easiest win. The Crispy Chicken Thighs - boneless, tender, and juicy - come perched atop bigger better versions of home fries, sitting like islands in the most delicious sea of gravy. This dish may not have a fancy name, exotic ingredients. or seem like something special enough for a meal you’ve reserved to enjoy with friends. It does, however, show off the consistent execution of Salty Sow’s kitchen staff, while telling the tale of why this joint has survived the ups and downs of Austin’s restaurant scene for over a dozen years and counting.More infoThe Salty SowPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• East Austin•4.8
- JJasmineAustin •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoGreat atmosphere for a small dinner party and private enough for a date or solo meal. The location has the advantage of being in the heart of downtown; so walk-ability to desired points of interest are a plus but makes for parking to be a minus. In terms of food, their dinner menu is a nice balance of of options without it being exhaustive - solid selections for every foodie. Notable things to try are the braised wagyu and rotisserie chicken. Corinne’s is on the pricier side with entrees ranging from $25 - 65 pp and the portions are what you would expect from a higher end restaurant - on the smaller side - but they are packed with so much flavor that you’ll absolutely devour every last bite and be clamoring for more. It’s your looking for cocktails their drinks are well crafted and expensive; you’re looking at $16 per drink so catching them at a happy hour or enjoying a glass of wine with your meal may be a better option financially. Overall, Corinne’s is quite the destination for an evening out with friends or loved ones, there’s plenty of choices for even the pickiest people and it’ll be hard to walk away from this experience without a great memory to follow.More infoCorinne - DowntownPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown•4.2
- MMichaelVIPDallas - Fort Worth •12 reviews4.0Dined on 28 Dec 2024I like this place and staff was great too, but my steak and frites came out both cold, barely warm. It was still tasty though but not what I expected for the cost. I really didn’t have time to send it back just pushed through cold meat and frites lolMore infoHopfieldsPrice: Expensive• French• Midtown•4.8
