Beautiful venue, incredibly attentive staff, and delicious meals rooted in a variety of cuisines. A five star rating doesn't do it justice!More infoThe Snooty MehmaanPrice: Moderate• Indian• Faringdon•4.8

Warm welcome followed by exceptional service from all staff throughout the meal, our waiter was incredibly polite and just the right amount of attentive. The food at the Plough was next to none, we visited before for a Sunday roast and I've never had a better roast beef. This visit was no exception, beautifully cooked meat and fish dishes served with fresh seasonal veg and perfectly balanced sauces. The crab cocktail starter was a particular showstopper, and the banana parfait was unique yet delicious. I noticed lots of awards above the cosy fireplace by our table, I was surprised not to see a Michelin! An absolute gem in a rural location, well worth the drive or a taxi home. We will be back again.More infoThe Plough at HanneyPrice: Moderate• British• Wantage•4.8

- DDavidHampshire •2 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoWe met our friends after a dog walk as we do every few months. My wife & I both had the fish & chips, after which we all had a mini dessert & a drink which priced at £8.00. We all had this before, and we were looking forward to the crumble & custard as the crumble was served in a ramekin dish, to our amazement the crumble portion was TWO mouth fulls, I understand it was a mini dessert, but I didn't know it was going to be miniscule in size. As a result, in experience, next time we meet with our friends, we will be taking our custom elsewhere. Sorry, Pelican.More infoThe PelicanPrice: Moderate• Pub• Marlborough•3.9
