Yet another fantastic meal at Quince. After delightful starters of lamb and date patewith toast and date chutney and fish croquettes on to the magnificent main course. Coq-au-van so perfect the meat fell off the bone. Wonderful sauce with a perfect accompaniment of roast sprouts and lovely greens. My wife had mackerel with buttered spinach and other great tasting items to balance the dish. We added some Lyonnaise potatoes as the potatoes are always good. Dessert, oh what a desert! Think treacle tart but made with honey with a touch of ipa. The pastry was so crisp and we just loved it. It was accompanied with a little crème fresh. A delightful wine made the meal even more perfect. The chefs can be seen hard at work and the results are stunning. Such perfect staff looking after us. Nothing is any trouble and they are so well informed about the food and so friendly. Don’t wince, go to Quince.

We went recently on a Sunday with our two children, two friends and their toddler. The staff were helpful and accommodating, the roast was fantastic and the ambience was lovely - they had a pianist playing. Will definitely return.
