Situated on level 33 of The Shard, Hutong at The Shard serves the fascinating and diverse cuisines of Northern China and is based on the much-loved restaurant of the same name in Hong Kong. Hutong at The Shard’s cuisine takes its inspiration from the dishes served in the imperial palaces of what was then Peking. Based on the ‘Lu school’ cuisine of Shandong Province, the menu artfully captures the subtlety and surprises of Northern Chinese cooking. A cocktail selection inspired by ingredients used in traditional Chinese medicine and stunning interior, complete with traditional Chinese red lanterns and beautiful hand-carved wood-panelled ‘Moon Gates’, offer London diners a new destination restaurant with panoramic views over London’s skyline. We currently do not accept OpenTable dining cheques.

Brimming with genuine character and jovial service, it has the feel of a private members club (for ladies and gentleman) and is home to some of the most original private rooms in the area. Best quality meats hand carved off the bone, award winning steak and delicious seasonal dishes cater for discerning customers. All polished off with a British cheese board and sticky puds. Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old brothel, we take the best meat in the country from the award winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. Just had an awesome night out & really can’t fault it. As ever the food was amazing, but I have to say the service was off the scale! Well done to all concerned but particularly our server Sylvester who went beyond expectations. It’s not cheap, but we feel it was really good value for money & we will be there again very soon.

Ordered the scotch egg but it wasn’t runny as it should have been, Sunday roast beef was lovely although I did think a little pricey and only one carrot! Not enough veg or had to order as a side , I think when you’re paying £38 for a roast you could give more than one carrot. It was very nice and I thought where we sat was lovely over looking the market , however I did find this part of the restaurant very dark of we hadn’t have been over looking the market it wouldn’t have been the best for me.

Service was excellent from the moment we arrived. We had the Sunday roast £25 offer which was good value for money and very tasty. The jazz singer was lovely too. The only thing is it gets incredibly noisy because of the high ceilings and industrial design. Would recommend though because of service and food.

The food was wonderful, as was the service. But you come here as much for the view as the meal and it didn’t disappoint!

Attentive service and lovely atmosphere however we all had brunch and all of our food was tepid and eggs cold. They redid our food and eventually enjoyed a hot breakfast.
