The George Public House is a Victorian reincarnation of a 15th century coffee house located at the meeting point of the Strand and Fleet Street, directly facing the spectacular architecture of the Royal Courts of Justice and a 10 minute walk from the West End. The evening was excellent, the food was delicious with good sized portions and it arrived quickly. The only downside was the lack of availability of 3 of the mains which meant that 3 of the 6 of us had to change our first menu choice. Also one of the sides was not available. Whilst I completely understand the need to stop waste it was a shame that the menu was so limited at 7pm on a Saturday night. That said I would definitely go back again. Thank you The George for offering fresh, high quality dishes despite your prime location. As Londoners we are usually disappointed with the food offered in many central London locations- but you offer a wonderful menu and dining experience for tourists and locals alike.

The staff were absolutely phenomenal at this branch. They were attentive to my friend with allergies and very accommodating. On top of that, the food was fantastic. The smoke mackerel salad and dump steak were delicious. A very positive experience. Will definitely go again. Thank you to the staff!!

Very enjoyable and high quality pre theatre 3 course set meal. Bit of a shame we had to specifically ask for the menu we'd booked, and the £2pp cover charge should really be in the price. But food was extremely nice and service exemplary.
