- SsusanUtah •17 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe saw lots of You Tube posts recommending BlackLock for Sunday Roast Lunch -- and it lived up to the hype. The "All in" platter was terrific- and the cocktails, wine and sides were really very good. We all agreed it was our best meal in London. Waitstaff are attentive and food comes quickly. It is a bit noisy, but that didn't detract from our meal.More infoBlacklock Covent GardenPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Covent Garden•4.7

Delicious cocktails, friendly staff, we went for surf and turf - the lobster was succulent and the flavour and texture of the fillet steak was incredible! Old spot belly ribs to start were a real highlight and the prawn cocktail was not your typical seafood sauce - it was herby and spicy and really satisfying. Though we couldn’t fit in one more bite after our main meal indulgence, we did take home a box of salted caramel chocolates which when enjoyed with a cuppa the next day kept the experience going a little longer as they were a burst of flavour. I say experience because this is somewhere if you love a good steak you can definitely revisit again and again (and at Spitalfields bar for the brilliant selection of cocktails - pina fizz yum!) but if you want to go somewhere special (especially for the foodies) just relax and really savour the amazing attention to detail from the staff, the excellent cooking, be prepared for high prices but just give in as a treat and indulge!!!More infoHawksmoor SpitalfieldsPrice: Expensive• British• Shoreditch•4.6
- BBryanHertfordshire •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a celebratory meal for a small group. We were given a nice booth towards the rear of the restaurant. The restaurant was bigger than we were expecting - given the reputation i was wondering on good the food was going to be and we were not disappointed - the food was great. Oysters The rib for starters We shared these with the table just to whet the appetite and the ribs were so tender that even those who are keen on ribs were raving about them. For mains Bone in Rib to share £90 ish, 0.8kilo Ribeye 0.4 kilo Mushrooms Triple cooked chips Pigs blankets Lobster £35 ish 350 grams The chips were great, real triple cooked and did what they said on the tin. The steaks were perfectly cooked at Med-Rare - tender, tasty and melted in the mouth. The lobster was gorgeous and the garlic butter topped it off. We ended with dessert and had Sticky toffee sundae Peanut Butter Short Bread Chocolates All of them were consumed quickly and topped off a great meal. I recommend this for special occasions.More infoHawksmoor Air StreetPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Piccadilly•4.5

Staff is especially helpful and many are long term. Our favorite in London.More infoSt. JOHN SmithfieldPrice: Very Expensive• British• Farringdon•4.8
