It’s simple really, our calling card is sustainable Scottish seafood. Our name comes from the Gaelic word for fish. It’s a wee bit tricky to pronounce, but it’s no bother if guests don’t get it quite right. With delicious fresh produce served by our very own Head Chef, Sean Currie, you'll feel the energy in the way we go about things – our warm welcome, enthusiasm for what we do, and, of course, a splash of Glaswegian banter.Serving sustainable Scottish seafood is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why £1 on every bill goes to The Firth Forth Lobster Hatchery, who hatch, rear and release lobsters to ensure stocks remain plentiful for future generations. Lovely spot, beautiful dining room. Friendly staff. Food was nice, mum enjoyed the vegetarian dish (enoki). I had the duck - the breast and cause were nice. Would be a lovely spot for afternoon tea.

I recently dined at Hazel, had a wonderful evening and already cannot wait to return. The drinks menu specifically was very impressive, offering delicious mocktails and non alcoholic beverages which catered nicely for my sister who is pregnant. The service was outstanding, we were very well looked after all evening and the team made us as comfortable as possible. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. I can’t wait to return after hearing about the different seasonal menus the restaurant offers. Overall, Hazel offered a superb dining experience with exceptional food, impeccable service, and a delightful ambiance. I look forward to returning.

On a busy evening the week before Christmas, we were accommodated at a large table, and adding to the numbers on the night wasn't a problem to the staff present. We were grateful to have a table in the room adjacent to the bar, where we could still feel the lively bar atmosphere but it was peaceful enough to hear our conversations. The food and drinks were served promptly and were of high quality. We appreciated the selection of small plates, which created a more relaxed vibe instead of a formal meal. Overall it was a lovely experience and I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality venue in the heart of the city, and we hope to return again soon.
