- DDebSan Diego •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at La Gran Terraza on the campus of USD. Delicious duck confit for me & husband had the surf & turf with filet mignon & lobster. Fabulous desserts too. Our server, Jack, was great. Terrific personality. Only issue I had was the service was pretty slow. I believe Jack was a little inexperienced, but with time, he'll be a top server! Looking forward to many more delightful meals to experience for special occasions. It was thoughtful of the manager, Rose, to come to our table to see how everything was. My husband mentioned to our server Jack that his filet was cooked more to medium instead of medium rare. An extra glass of wine was comp'd & enjoyed by me! My companion and I went for Valentines Day Lunch and it was delicious. Our service was great. With the fireplace the ambiance was perfect. I have to say I was surprised the female servers were barely clothed with ample cleavage showing and a "Skirt" which barley covered their back side . My companion loved it but yet the male servers were in long pants how about tight shorts for the guys as well . We women deserve eye candy as well. This isn't Hooters !More infoButcher Shop Steakhouse - San DiegoPrice: Expensive• Steak• Kearny Mesa•4.5
