- MMarkDallas - Fort Worth •53 reviews5.0Dined todayWe eat here two to three times a year. Last night was probably the best food we’ve had in the last five years. The bottle of Moet was great. Opening the evening was a plate of four pastries (gougyure?) filled with salmon mousse and caviar. We followed with a Farmer’s Green Salad. My wife had catch of the day. Me? Fried quail. There was not a hiccup with any of these entrees - all were excellent. The desserts - chocolate mousse and an apple tart with ice cream The chef’s gift to the table was a pumpkin soup with coconut milk. I wished that they would make this a regular menu item. One slight flaw. The recipe for the famous Dean Fearing tortilla soup seems to have changed. All in all - an excellent evening. IF. If I could change one thing? Hire a carpenter. Put in a vestibule ahead of the outside entry door. it was cold outside last night, and the drafts that passed through the restaurant are quite cold. All in all - the $$ were well spent.More infoThe Mansion Restaurant at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle CreekPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Turtle Creek / Oak Lawn•4.6
- JJeffVIPDallas - Fort Worth •9 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAnother great meal and experience at El Carlos Elegante! We started with cocktails, Cherry Moon and Negroni Cafe, and both were great. The one-hitters, Surf + Turf and Brisket, were exceptional. Don’t miss those two! The Salmon Ceviche and Okra + Shishitos were spot on as usual. We rounded out our meal with a hand-made masa, Chorizo Molotes, which was delicious. Nice crunch on the masa, stuffed with chorizo and refried beans and served with warm salsa roja. The atmosphere was cozy and festive at the same time. To add to the fun, the restaurant was tastefully decorated for the holidays. We’ll definitely be back. A “go-to” restaurant for us. The food and service never disappoints.More infoEl Carlos ElegantePrice: Expensive• American• West Dallas•4.8

I wish we would have split or maybe we should have asked how big they were. My husband had the Caesar which was perfect. Anchovies were fresh and delicious. I had the roasted pear salad. It was delicious. The dressing was perfect The entrees a filet and halibut were cooked perfectly Coconut cream pie delicious creamy. The bread basket had a great variety Overall I would give a 10 Thank youMore infoAl Biernat's - Oak LawnPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Turtle Creek / Oak Lawn•4.9
- LLetieDallas - Fort Worth •3 reviews5.0Dined on 11 Dec 2024We were there to celebrate my birthday and everything was perfect. We ordered the crab dip and elk tacos for appetizers, chicken fried steak, tomahawk steak, and the double porkchop for dinner and we weren't disappointed. Service was good and although I didn't care for the dessers, my 3 adult kids loved them. Only disappointment was that they didn't have bread pudding and the server took a while to bring our drinks.More infoHaywire - Uptown DallasPrice: Expensive• American• East Dallas•4.7
