YOU MUST TRY THE IMPROVED RESTRUCTURED BRUNCH WITH SANTA!! Pros…..better room in tapas bar area…. Not over crowded… food selection much better …..service was very good. Cons/room for improvement ….beef should have been sliced thinner it was tough. Dipping sauce or something needed for salmon it was bland. This is just me giving constructive criticism . Not complaining!! Bear mountain staff you out did yourselves! ITHANK YOU SO MUCH!!! t was beautiful!!!More infoRestaurant 1915 and Blue Roof Tapas Bar - Bear MountainPrice: Very Expensive• American• Bear Mountain•4.3
- LLynnvipNew York City •27 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoWe had Thanksgiving dinner there, which was festive, filling and flavorful! Note to self: never reserve for the last seating on a holiday - they always run out of key dishes. The soup was gone, as were the stuffed mushrooms as well as the apple strudel - not to mention the Brussels sprouts being silently replaced by string beans. Plenty of other choices, but not always what we would have selected an hour earlier. Note to the restaurant owners: swap out the oil filled, open, unprotected flame votives with wax candles in proper votive holders (or battery LEDs, they make gorgeously flickering realistic ones now). Especially in an historic structure with ancient chestnut wood beams. We watched in horror as a staffer cleared a table near us - accidentally lighting a guest's napkin on fire. It burst into flames, was thrown to the floor, stomped on, more flames and then picked up again, still flaming and shoved into a coffee cream pitcher. A lucky ending to a reckless decor decision. Would we return? Absolutely, for an earlier sitting - and hopefully safer decor.More infoPeter Pratt's InnPrice: Expensive• American• Yorktown Heights•4.8
