Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Millbrae

I had the veal osso buco and it was unbelievable!! My wife and i go here a few times a month and its always outstanding. The staff and quality of food go hand in hand. Its our favorite italian restaurant in the Bay Area!

Best flipping bacon 🥓 sweet and salty,a perfect combination. And my favorite brunch item is the huevos rancheros. Absolutely delicious with a homemade tortilla base and a great combination topped with a great salsa/ sauce with just the right heat from sautéed jalapeños. An added gift from the chef of two yummy fresh strawberry scones were moist and absolutely delicious. ( thanks Miley) We loved them them and I don’t usually like scones !! Best brunch in town.

We had a pleasant evening at Mistral’s. It mostly seemed like a well oiled machine. The menu is creative with varied choices. We liked the onion soup and caesar salad. The crab cakes drew positive comments; less so the surf and turf which included a chewy sirloin turf. Service was friendly and attentive.

Restaurant was bustling and lively with a great, warm atmosphere. Food was really good and the servers were very professional and attentive. Only comment is that it was super loud, we could hardly hear each other at a table of four. But good for them that they were so crowded! I totally recommend it, just know it may not be quiet.
