Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Calgary / Southern Alberta

I had an amazing Boxing Day dinner with server Cody. Cody gave exceptional service and had lots of knowledge about the menu. We started with the dish: Zucchini and Truffle Arancini. It had some walnut spread at the bottom and it complimented together perfectly. Then we moved on the Mafaldine Alla Vodka dish. The mafaldine pasta was delicious, a great switch up from other pastas. It came with a chunk of Burrata cheese on top. Again, so yummy! Our main dish was The Whole Lemon Sole. Upon serving our fish, they cut open and hand picked the skeleton out! Ended the night with 2 desserts: ChristMint Cheesecake Tree and Bourbon w Irish Eggnog Ice Cream

We had the Yuletide lunch menu which was wonderful. The taste, presentation, and quality were first rate. Our server, Julie, was extremely pleasant and attentive while the Hawthorn Dining Room exceeded our expectations. We will be returning in future for other meals.

We ordered Christmas dinner for 5 people from Yellow Door. Pick up was seamless, portions were generous and the food was absolutely delicious. The reheating instructions were flawlessly outlined and all courses turned out perfectly. We doubt we’ll make Christmas dinner again. Compliments to the chef(s)! Seated outside on December 20th, doesn't get better than that! Split a lovely bottle of cab sauv that ended up being at happy hr pricing, both the starters and mains selected were aesthcically beautiful and absolutely delicious. The wait staff were attentive and so kind. We lucked out with the most lovely ppl that ended up having their meals out on the patio as well and the whole evening turned into a communal sharing of dinner, it was such a wonderful evening and the view could not be beat. We will return!
