Le Central is a French bistro, focusing on modern interpretations of classic dishes featuring local products from Sakonnet Lobsters, Four Town Farm (Seekonk, MA), Walker's Farm (Barrington, RI), Scott the Bassman, and Little Rhody Eggs (Foster, RI). Low lighting, checkerboard floor tiling, glass tabletops, and French nu-Jazz provide an intimate yet warm and familiar atmosphere. Chef-owner Jesse James spent his early career in Boston, working with chefs Moncef Meddeb at L'Espalier and Jasper White at Jasper's, with further experience at other landmark restaurants in New York, France, and Italy. Le Central is the third restaurant he has designed, built, and operated, after Aperto (Est 1992) and Boca Rotis (Est 1997), both in San Francisco. The large painting by Inez Storer on the south wall of the restaurant (which also serves as our logo) is of Jesse's son, Sam (the current General Manager & Beverage Director), and his childhood dog, Skye. Inez wouldn't say who the guy in the chair is.

Beech is an all-seasons remake of an iconic Jamestown gathering place. Conceived by a group of Jamestown locals who wanted to give their community a restaurant that feels like home. Kevin and his team are serving up inspired creations across 5 dining areas that run the gamut from a lively bar scene to intimate, twinkle-light dining. Requests for seating, be it outdoor seating in season or room requests during the colder months is a request only and not guaranteed. Beech will try and accommodate your request if there is seating available at the time of your reservation.In case of inclement weather, Beech will make every effort to accommodate reservations and move the reservation inside, however such accommodations cannot be guaranteed based on Beech's inside capacity.     Although we have lived on the island for many many years, this was our first experience since the reconstruction and we were not disappointed. Our server, DAN, was pleasant, helpful and SUPER attentive. The restaurant/bar space is contemporary, hip and well appointed-all areas immaculate and comfortable. The menu, while not extensive, is varied enough. Their calamari is phenomenally flavorful and a stand out item, for sure. The jazz trio added to the ambiance and the mood - relaxed and light. Five stars 🌟 all around for this local gem. We will ASSUREDLY make it one of our favorite spots! Well done 👍🏼

    The best dining we have had in the Newport area . Great selection , fantastic accommodating wait staff and the General Manager has really created a wonderful ambience and overall dining experience. Definitely worth a trip here
