Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Winnipeg / Manitoba

This was our second visit. The Merchant Kitchen delivered a fantastic experience! The KFC gluten-free chicken was incredible, paired perfectly with the flavorful Thai fried rice. The gluten-free mango dessert was the perfect sweet ending. We also loved the corn appetizer with cilantro and lime—so tasty. You won’t leave hungry that’s for sure! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for amazing food and a great time!

We had another really good meal and time. Would have been nice to see our server a bit more but everything was good. This is a great restaurant with lots of choices.

Went to Nonsuch for lunch with a friend and her partner from Germany - neither of which had been to Nonsuch before. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food (Le burger, Chips avec dip, and crème brûlée) and the drinks! Our German friend, who definitely has strong opinions about what “good beer” tastes like, loved La Pils. I feel like that’s a pretty high compliment, so well done Nonsuch.

The server was very nice, explained the various dishes. Was quick to refill my wine glass. The borscht was a little thin and the roll was still cold in the middle.. the shortribs were good but could have had a more robust flavour. I couldnt taste the Guiness which was apparently the sauce. Good overall and i would go back and try a different entree.
