Thirty Bales is a celebration of everything Midwestern cuisine has to offer. We're an upbeat neighborhood restaurant bringing together bright personalities, bold recipes, clean ingredients and craft spirits and playing with the flavors that make the Midwest a place unlike any other. If you're curious about our name, it comes from the legend of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. As the story goes, Babe had an appetite as big as Bunyan himself and is rumored to have eaten 30 bales of hay a day.Like our restaurant's big blue spirit animal, we're a pack of people that lives to eat and drink. We're endlessly in love with the Midwest and its connection to seasonal ingredients grown close to home. It's what inspires our menu and our team. And it's what inspires us as we tell our own story with the flavors and spirits of the Midwest.

We had an outstanding birthday celebration luncheon at Ciao Bella. Our server, Jordan, was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. He’s really one of the best in the industry! We can always count on Ciao Bella, for an excellent dining experience: our beet salad was exceptional , my butternut squash soup was fabulous, the calamari was tasty and fresh, and the braised lamb pasta was perfect. Thank you for an amazing meal and excellent service!

I went for lunch and had one of the lunch specials. I can't remember the name (pasta with a red sauce with wild boar). I chose solely because when my server was describing it, his eyes lit up for a second! I thought, if he got excited just describing it then I should try it! We paired the entree with one of the house Cabernets. Amazing! The server read my mind as he subtilty dropped off the dessert menu. I completed the meal with the chocolate torte and a coffee. Excellent way to finish! The service was flawless from the maitre 'd greeting me with a warm smile. My server was busperson was very attentive, warm and engaging. The only "downside" is the value. The bill was close to $100 for one, so not a "fast casual dining" but luxurious dining experience with supreme food and outstanding service!

Loved our meal at Tulibee! We hadn't been in years and will definitely be coming back more regularly. The brussels sprouts, lamb with pistachio and duck fat fries with the bison were amazing. Great service with a wonderful server who went through the entire menu at the outset of greeting us. Much appreciated!
