Sam (G.M.) helped us out in getting an accessible table. Entire team was helpful and welcoming — chef’s selections were all both interesting and delicious. Sashimi selections were far larger than expected and there were more options than I’ve seen at many sushi locations. I would definitely return and recommend to my friends.

Ma’am Saab is a truly wonderful experience. I wish it was in my home city. After wandering in by chance for a drink and an appetizer, we returned the next night for dinner. The menu was really well thought out and the flavors so well balanced. From the stylish interior including beautiful cutlery, and views of Pakistan and India, to the detail in the cocktail ingredients everything about this restaurant is perfectly executed. The staff were extremely welcoming especially the manager and bar tender who made our experience even more special. The butter chicken is the best I’ve had in the USA, and the rest of the menu is just as good. We would recommend this to anyone who is spending time in Charleston.

Delicious! Very inventive! Our best meal in Charleston. The 6 course tasting menu is the way to go. Not pretentious. The various sauces show a great mastery.

We had a fantastic time at Coterie - delicious food, amazing cocktails, service was awesome (thanks, Noah!) - our group of ten, with vegetarians, allergies and gluten free folks all had an incredible experience. Thank you so much.

Let me start by saying Mike is an incredible host, server, chef, and historian. This was a one of a kind experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique culinary experience in Charleston. While it is not a conventional restaurant, Mike takes you on a culinary journey of 18th and 19th century low country cuisine, keeping things as authentic as possible while still appealing to our modern palates. Each dish was carefully crafted and thoughtfully prepared. The table was full of strangers, but we all got to chat and listen to Mike’s wonderful presentation of Charleston history to go along with each dish. Our specific meal was centered around Legacy families of Charleston, so we enjoyed dishes each family would have also enjoyed. Mike deserves all of the attention and reservations he can handle. As he says, he’s one of Charleston’s best kept secrets, and I believe that to be true because I had a fantastic experience.
