Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in Downtown / Loop

Me and my friend went for our birthday and it was an amazing experience. The food and service was excellent throughout our whole experience and we both highly recommend. I personally recommend the salmon first bite to start!

Everything was great from the moment we arrived. We were promptly greeted, our table was ready; in fact we were brought to our table by our server Drew who was fabulous!! He immediately asked about drinks and made some great recs! The signature Old Fashion is wonderful. Appetizers were quickly ordered (Flaming Bacon, Oysters & Shrimp Cocktail); then he explained the entire menu with very helpful suggestions/recommendations . The food was great and the amount was perfect which was important because we did not want leftovers since we were heading directly to the theater. We had Filet with Lobster, Scallops and a side of Brussel Sprouts. Also Drew was very conscious of our timing since we had to get to a show. Finished with Espresso Martinis and Chef’s creation Crème Brûlée!! So good! So good!!

I cannot count the number of visits we've had to The Girl and the Goat, but it continues to be a favorite for both personal and professional dining. I brought three colleagues, who have never been, to the restaurant for dinner. One diner is vegetarian, but there are menu offerings and options available to provide them with enough to eat. All three were quite impressed with the food. My only complaint would be our table was right next to the kitchen, which can be loud. However, we made due, and had an enjoyable meal. Service is always very good, and the cocktails are fun. If you're interested in dining, make sure you book way ahead, as there is almost no chance to get a table day of.

We really enjoyed our brunch at State and Lake! The food was delicious and the service was above excellent.
