Absolutely wonderful dinner. I had their Christmas pre fix dinner. Butternut squash soup, prime rib, lemon potatoes, chard squash and carrots, and stuffing. Pair the potters old fashion. Beautiful venue, amazing staff.

Our third time dining there and was a good experience, a little slow on service but I’m sure due to holiday staffing, but the available staff really worked together. The deviled eggs were delicious and I enjoyed the shrimp & grits with a fried egg on top.

We had the prime rib 3-course special. The steak, potatoes, bread, and salad were fantastic. Had samplings of 5 appetizers… they were okay. Dessert wasn’t great. The biggest disappointment was the wine pairing… $75 for 3 drinks that weren’t awesome.

Wonderful small restaurant in Old Town Alexandria with great food and good service, but with a huge caveat. Portions are a little small for the price being paid … but my major complaint is the ridiculous noise level, especially for a place called “the Study“. No noise absorbing materials, such as carpets, curtains or ceiling tiles. This has to be one of the noisiest small places I’ve ever dined at. This is my second time and nothing has changed. As a local resident, I will not be back, nor will I recommend this place.
