Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in Sacramento

The food was inventive and hyper local. The wine list is creative and perfectly paired for the food. The portions were appropriately sized for an Omakase dinner. The price point is a great value, given the high quality of the food and the excellence of the execution . 

The Allora staff made our celebratory experience all the more special. Zack, our server was so attentive. I highly recommend requesting him. The food was amazing as always. This is my go-to spot for special celebrations.

Food was really tasty. Hadn't been here before and didn't know it existed until I did a map search for restaurants near the community center theater. We ate before a show. They have a nice wine list including a Chablis by the glass. That was a plus. The waiter asked whether we were going to the show and paced the dinner so that we were able to get in dessert and also make the show. Appreciated that. It was a good experience. We'll be back.

They have a small menu, but a good mix of vegan and non-vegan options, which is great if your group is looking for that. Our group ordered the burger with beef, the southwestern burger, and the artichoke chicken sandwich. All were very tasty, cooked perfectly, and the ingredients were fresh. Service was just okay. Not sure if our server was new or just having an off day. He wasn’t really friendly, just there to take our order. My husband requested a refill on his water, and the server did refill his glass but didn’t refill any of the others. When we were finished eating, he brought our check, but nobody cleared our plates until we left. It’s nice to have a few minutes to finish drinks and payment, etc. without dirty plates on the table - just my pet peeve. The atmosphere isn’t anything special. It’s true to its “Garage” name. Overall it was good and the prices were reasonable, but I probably won’t go back - so many other restaurants in the area that I’d try next time.

Wonderful service and food was delicious! We had my active two year old with us and the staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive. We will definitely be back!
