Best Romantic Restaurants in Forestville

Great food, great service and priced accordingly for the quality. The only complaint is the noise level. The noise level in the main dining room when full is overwhelming! You can’t have a normal conversation with your dining partner(s). On several occasions we’ve been unlucky enough to be seated near a group table that has had way too much alcohol and are shouting at each other. This makes what should be an enjoyable dining experience very unpleasant!!

John Ash is consistently top quality food, service and atmosphere. Of course, this comes at a orice, so because of the location, it is recommended as a splurge. Guests at the Vintners will find it perfect and commensurate with the rates of the Inn. A deluxe wine country experience

The service and staff were helpful, friendly. The atmosphere is quaint and allows a relaxed dining experience at your own pace. The food was excellent and had a wide variety that suited everyone’s tastes at the table.

It was fabulous! We had not been to Walter Hanzel Wine & Bistro for awhile, probably during COVID when they had an outside tent back then. The name can be a bit deceiving as its a legit restaurant with bar, not a wine bar that happens to serve food. They do however carry a nice selection of wines including their own wine. We enjoyed it back then, and enjoyed it even more recently. The food was delicious, our server was very nice and attentive. I would say the atmosphere is casual fine dining, where they strike a nice balance between fancy & comfortable. We could hold a conversation over dinner without shouting or straining to hear one another. We'll be back there much sooner than last time! Blaise Lo

We had an outstanding server named Meghan, who made our entire dining experience very memorable. She was warm, friendly and had a great sense of humor. The food and ambiance was wonderful, but Meghan took things to a whole new level. We will definitely be coming back and hope Meghan will be there to greet us.
