The tradition continues as our culinary team has curated an inventive and elevated menu through New American cuisine while paying homage to the beloved dishes that have been served at the Tabard Inn for years. Executive Chef Matthew Zafrir came to the Tabard in 2023, bringing with him experience from various fine dining restaurants around D.C. such as minibar by José Andrés, Cranes, Revelers Hour, as well as Woodberry Kitchen in Baltimore, MD. He also shares the Tabard's longstanding commitment to sourcing ingredients locally. Join us for a meal on our covered patio or one of our intimate dining rooms. The event I attended was an anniversary celebration that you needed to purchase a ticket for. The fact that you could arrive between 3-9 p.m. stay as long as you wanted sipping on your wine or cocktail made it very special. The food was good and plentiful, the wine selection was outstanding. if they have another event like this I will definitely attend.

The brunch buffet was definitely worth the price. I typically don’t like buffets but there were plenty of options and the food was consistently replenished. The baklava pancakes, the brussel sprouts and the seafood options were my favorite.

The food was phenomenal, as usual! The atmosphere was exceptional. This place is such a vibe. Our server was very knowledgeable and offered suggestions without prompting; which is always a nice touch, in my opinion. I like that the food is made to order, because it gives you time to talk and enjoy the meal. There is nothing worse than having your entrée arrive while you are still working on your appetizer. Don't go by the reviews; check this place out for yourself. It is one of our favorites. Remember, any place can have an off night; are you perfect at your job every day?
