Best Romantic Restaurants in Alpha, New Jersey

This was overall a great experience. Food was the most outstanding feature, with high quality ingredients thoughtfully and artistically presented. Steaks are a la carte, well-seasoned and perfectly prepared; sides are large portioned, simple but also well prepared. Other entrees come with chosen accompaniments which marry well with the protein. Seabass with mild caramelization on the outside and succulent juicy and flaky on the inside. The bisque, salads and appetizers all well received. In essence, we could not find any fault or criticism of the food. Wines are about at 300% markup, so expect to spend at least $150 for a bottle of cab to accompany the steaks, and there are many choices at a higher price point. It's not cheap - for our party of 4 the total bill, including tip was about $700; this included one bottle of one of their most inexpensive wines, a drink before, a starter, entree, (but not desserts). Because it's in the casino and there are no restrooms within the restaurant, one has to go out to the casino restrooms, and this means NOBODY under 21 is permitted in the restaurant, whether with a parent or not. So, for a special occasion, and/or when money is no object, this place is the place to go, and I look forward to returning.

Everything was absolutely delicious. Alex was our server and he did a fantastic job. Very personable, was a great way to spend Thanksgiving with my husband.

Zest was excellent! I had the salmon entree and it was delicious. Our server was courteous and had a wonderful attitude. She was there when we needed her and given the privacy when we did not. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We've eaten at the Wilbur Mansion on a number of occasions, consistently very good. Last night, the raw oysters were excellent and ice cold! The filet mignon was delicious and perfectly cooked. The asparagus, were rather uneventful. The berry tart served warm, with home made vanilla ice cream was heavenly! Lastly, David, the dining room manager was very attentive, but never intrusive, as always!
