Best Romantic Restaurants in Salem

We had four in our dinner party; 2 first time visitors. My wife and I shared the roasted seafood tower as our entry. Plenty of well prepared seafood items; lobster tails, shrimp (very large), snow crab, scallops and mussles. The broth was a winner too. One of our guests tried the scallops (for the first time) entree that included mushroom risoto. New fan of scallops. Other guest ordered the spicy pasta and enjoyed the preparation. Also ordered some of the specialty drinks. The bar prepared some exquisite drinks.

No contest, best Italian in the city! Impossible to pick just one favorite item on the menu!

Love dinner at Onesto! Creative and amazing cocktails. So very Gluten free friendly! Even things like crab cakes made with gluten free bread crumbs and good gluten free bread with meat and cheese board. Everything was delicious and our waitress was really fun and helpful.

This was our 2nd time here at the Bistro and as before, everything was superb! Service was 1st class, quick, excellent explanations and recommendations if we asked. I have a particular food allergy and the staff bent over backwards to help avoid that and insure my meal was exquisite and safe. The drinks were excellent, the food awesome and we swore we would make it for a 3rd time. I suppose a warning is due, the restaurant is top-drawer, meaning it’s not cheap - either in price or in the quality of the food and the service. There’s an old expression that you get what you pay for, I think the Bistro exceeds that !!! We strongly recommend also getting there early and enjoying the bar!!

Everything from the drinks, food and friendly service was top notch. The teamwork of the staff is wonderful. We did not feel rushed to order or to leave. The presentation of some of the drinks and food is just very fun. This was our 3rd Christmas Eve to have dinner at Saffron - did not disappoint.
