Best Seasonal Restaurants in Woburn

Clean Plates All Round. First visit to the new Lussmans in Woburn - the latest addition to this collection of fine restaurants in interesting buildings with scrumptious food. This is a lovely Georgian building, beautifully restored and decorated, and a perfect space for an outing of the taste buds. Lussmans now do carafes of their most popular wines and it is the best way to get a large glass or two of your favourite. We decided to have a main and a pudding - the starters are certainly tempting but their size and quality can fill you up a little bit. Even though their current offer of three courses for £36 (which may change when the new menu begins in a week or two) is great value, we weren't in a gluttonous mood so soon after Christmas. My partner's pan-fried Celeriac steak brought forth much smacking of lips and joyful exclamations, while my chicken schnitzel was perfectly cooked and tasty. The veggie sides were just right with delicious sticky red cabbage the standout. And then came my dark chocolate mousse, which was dark and delicious, while my partner's berry cheesecake hit the spot. A great evening out with attentive and friendly staff and certainly there were no leftovers on our clean plates!

Exceptional. The nicest meal (tasting menu, Jan 2025) that I've had in a very long time. The service was excellent from start to finish, and our principal waiter was brilliant. There was not a single thing on the tasting menu that we didn't thoroughly enjoy, and we left absolutely stuffed. We joked at the beginning that if we're still hungry we can pop to the shop on the way back, but that was definitely not on the cards at the end... I can't wait to find another occasion to celebrate and go back. I was also quite surprised at how they don't automatically add tips to their bills (a refreshing surprise). We did of course leave a tip given how positive of an experience it was, but increasingly UK restaurants are copying our friends over the pond, which I personally find a little bit grating. So, thank you for not doing that too, and for letting your great food and service speak for itself!

The staff were absolutely lovely. I made a last minute booking for my daughter’s birthday and they bent over backwards to accommodate my needs. The high tea was super made very special by the waitress . Would definitely go back

This restaurant was strongly recommended to us by a friend who had very much enjoyed an evening there. The service was attentive and friendly. The menu was not too big and had a good cross section of dishes. The food was excellent, we will definitely return. The only thing to mention is the toilet is in the Unity building and requires staff to keep an eye out to let you back into the restaurant!
