Best Seasonal Restaurants in The Castro

Very nice experience overall , very good service and food

Fable is one of my new favorite spots in the Castro to grab a bite. Their heated garden seating is perfect for date night or catching up with some friends. I went on a Friday night and they seemed to be moderately busy. Was thankful they were mindful about spacing out tables so im not eating dinner with the table next to me. Food is great and the staff is super friendly! When in doubt where to eat, I’m going to Fable.

Service, quality, flavor: all impeccable. The gardiniera was so perfectly balanced, fresh and interesting with celery, radish, and fennel. I knew it would be great, but was even better than that. My table mate who doesn’t generally care for anything pickled was blown away. The chicories were gorgeous, colorful, and delicious. The tagliatelle was absolutely stunning both texturally and depth of flavor. Tiramisu and chocolate budino are exquisite, truly. Save room for dessert. I loved the NA passion fruit cocktail and sparkling blanc de blanc. Such a treat to have something n thoughtful and delicious for folks who aren’t drinking. It’s a beautiful dining room. I sat on the banquet on the south wall and felt like I was under a spotlite. A little less overhead light intensity would take it from a 9 to a 10.

Absolutely loved our dinner with friends. Cocktails, wine and all the tapas were delicious. Service by Jessica was extraordinary.

Really nice experience. Great food and super attentive service. We're on the covered patio, so a little less buzzy than the dining room, so easy to catch up with friends. Highly recommended.
