Alberto's Ristorante was established in 1984 at which time, Northern Italian cuisine and fresh homemade pasta were introduced to Cape Cod for the first time. Since then, we have continued this tradition of all fresh ingredients and in-house preparation of every course from the soups to the desserts. Our reputation for casual elegance arises from our emphasis on decor, service, the pride we take in food preparation, and our affordability. Over the years, we have received rave reviews from food critics from the Cape Cod Times, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Cape Cod Life Magazine, Fodor's, AAA, and New York Times critic James Beard for "...exquisite Northern Italian cuisine". Our lounge is the perfect setting for a before dinner cocktail, an after dinner espresso, or an even more casual meal. Call for lounge or bar seating (high tops only)

In 1992, thrown together on Cape Cod by political circumstances none of them could have predicted, four young Yugoslavs founded Pain D'Avignon.Their goal was to recreate the Old World Traditions using baking techniques and recipes barely changed in centuries. Their founding principle: fine breads deserve to be at the center of the dining experience, not a mere afterthought. At their Hyannis bakery, the timeless art of bread making is both revered and respected. Everyday salt, flour and filtered water are combined – like the bakers themselves – with a distinctly European flavor.

The name “Colombo” is the Italian form of “Colomba” the latin word for “dove”, which is the “Bird of Peace”. It is in the spirit of peace that friends and family gather to celebrate the every day occurrences that touch our lives. Great food, drink and conversations are the cornerstones for the sharing of these convivial, day-to-day passions at our Italian restaurant.Colombo’s Cafe & Pastries stands for the beloved concept born in Italy of the “gathering place”… truly a place that “welcomes everyone, every day… at any time” translating as “Benvenuti a tutti” in Italian, whereby the tried and true, centuries-old tradition of “all are welcome” prevails.

I can't say enough about our Valentine's Day experience. Everything was perfect. Absolutely worth even more than what we paid. It's a beautiful view; being right on the beach. We went right during "golden hour" and all the colors were spectacular. See? I haven't even gotten to the food! Our meal started with a lovely complimentary "toast" for Valentine's Day. Then we had warm bread and a butternut lobster bisque to die for. Then my wife enjoyed a lovely cold meal served in this absolutely beautiful bowl/plate that was so beautiful and original. My "Land and Sea" couldn't have been better. The shrimp was nice and poppy, asparagus crisp, and the sauces were excellent. But the steak, whew, the steak was absolutely incredible. I seriously cannot say enough about it. Cooked perfectly, it just melted in my mouth. I swear it was the best steak I've ever had. Lastly our desserts were beautifully presented to us. I had an eggnog creme brulee, with fruits and cornbread atop. Extraordinary. My wife had a chocolate lava cake with blood orange sherbet. They also went a bit further with hers and even wrote Happy Valentine's Day on the plate in chocolate sauce. Chef's kiss. Lastly the service was impeccable. The door was opened for us right away, and from there it only got better. Our waitress, Kristen, was super friendly, had some great suggestions and made sure that our drinks were never even less than 1/4 full. Why are you still reading? Get going! Seriously, this place is a "must go".
