A return to traditional Madrid recipes, where you can taste the authentic Madrid. At Castizo Alcalá – Canalejas, we respect the quality of the product so that the flavours represent that classic and succulent Madrid spirit. A restaurant with the soul of a tavern, perfect for breakfast, an aperitif or enjoying a succulent lunch or dinner. Its location at Calle de Alcalá, 19, opposite the Four Seasons Hotel and 50m from Puerta del Sol, make this Castizo an ideal stop for a very Madrid-style visit. Writers, journalists, musicians and all kinds of artists ... The cafes of the early twentieth century were the real protagonists where the gatherings gathered literary, police, comedians and anarchists among others.

Top gastro & hospitality experience in Madrid, stemming from the hosting Four Seasons Hotel. Refined enough to be a memorable meal, but not exclusive of families. The terrace has amazing views of Madrid and surroundings.

Beautiful and delicious restaurant to spread New Year’s Day. The food was excellent, the low jazzy music added to the ambiance, and it is a beautiful setting. Highly recommend.

Nice decor, looks & feels very nice. Food was very good. Espresso Martini was superb…!!! Best ever. BUT… service was very bad… not in a rude way but in a TOTALLY INEXPERIENCED way… zero knowledge about the food, plate details, etc. Not what you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Very bad overlook from the MANAGEMENT. Still recommend but be prepared… and relaxed if you get the inexperienced crew shift…!

We visited this restaurant following a recommendation from a different restaurant where we had had an excellent meal. Pleasing the Cedron was equally as good. The food was excellent. The wine we ordered was out of stock, however the waiter's knowledge of wine was impressive and his recommendation was excellent at a similar price. If we were to return to Madrid we would have no hesitation in returning.
