- BBarryNew Mexico •47 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAs I wrote last time we ate there, 4940 has matured and mastered the art of combining excellent food with impeccable service. From being greeted by Julie to Kyle's recommendations and service, the feeling is one of returning to one's favorite neighborhood restaurant to be greeted and served by old and good friends and neighbors and a kitchen that comes through every time. The grilled romaine salad is as good as it gets; the sea bass was once again the jewel of the restaurant; the Moroccan spiced lamb shank was very good; and the desserts were terrific. I find the chocolate dessert a bit dry for my taste but the chocoholics in our party of five were very pleased with it and my apple creme brulee was great. The piece d'resistance was Julie's decaf cappuccino - smooth and just right to go with the dessert. A lovely evening. Along with the Indigo Crow ("the Crow") 4940 gives Corrales Village two great choices for relaxed and very satisfying fine dining.More infoRestaurant Forty Nine FortyPrice: Very Expensive• American• Los Ranchos•4.5

- CCherylVIPNew Mexico •66 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoWe had eaten at 2 other M'Tucci restaurants and this was our first time at the one closest to us (Coors and Montano, NW). We decided to try their Wed. night special at the bargain price of $30/person. We made a reservation about an hour ahead and were glad that we had. The restaurant was quite full. There were no choices on the special and no substitutions. I probably would not have ordered any of the dishes on the special but we were pleasantly surprised and pleased. The appetizer was a bruschetta topped with mussels. My husband adored this. I thought it was very good. It came with a small glass of a pleasant chardonnay. The main course was hangar steak with roast potatoes. I asked for mine to be cooked medium rare, I was told, you couldn't specify how you wanted it cooked, on the special. Our steaks came out medium rare and were exceptionally tender and flavorful. This was served with a small glass of Cabernet. Dessert was a pumpkin swirl cheesecake. This was the weakest of the courses but we still ate every bite. It was served with a moscato dessert wine. All the portions were small but we didn't leave hungry. Service was excellent in spite of how busy it was. We definitely will return for the Wed. special and will try other things as well. This may become our go to local restaurant.More infoM'tucci's Italian - AlbuquerquePrice: Moderate• Italian• Albuquerque•4.4
- NNancyVIPNew Mexico •101 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe three friends came for dinner before a concert. The seasonal decorations were lovely and the booth by the window had a beautiful view of the Sandias and the city lights. Our server was very good even though he seemed so young. The price of the wine by the glass is pretty high. I would recommend just buying a bottle. My beet salad was excellent as was the bruschetta. The portions are large and reasonably priced. My mussels were very salty but the chef graciously redid my order with less seasoning. My friends had chicken Parmesan and the Dijon chicken. The Parmesan version seemed to be the better choice. Can’t wait to bring my husband.More infoD.H. Lescombes Winery & Bistro - CottonwoodPrice: Moderate• Bistro• Los Ranchos•4.4
