Best Seasonal Restaurants in Ocean View

As “locals” now after 7 years here, we’ve gone to The Parkway many times. It has always been consistently very good, and last night was no exception! I had the mushroom soup and wedge salad followed by the Sea Bass special, and my wife had the Oysters Rockefeller, pear salad, and the Ribeye special. Our server was terrific, attentive but not too much, and she was very knowledgeable about the food. Prices have gone up everywhere, so the value isn’t what it was, but that’s true at all restaurants. Unfortunately, $300+ for dinner for 2 (fully loaded with tip, several drinks, dessert, etc) seems to be the norm nowadays. Great music too, and always a friendly vibe!

We have been dining at One Coastal for many years, predating the arrival of James Beard Award Finalist Chef Matt Kern. We were so delighted that after One Coastal changed hands we were able to enjoy the same unrivaled, creative, fresh Delaware cuisine. Tonight our family ordered the duck and the rockfish. Both were expertly executed. The flavor profiles of both dishes were unusual, cohesive, and delightful. My husband and I both enjoyed our cocktails, a Duchess and a Ryanhatten. Our family enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here. It was delicious. Everyone we encountered was lovely. We topped it off with some ice skating afterward. It was a fun Thanksgiving!

We really enjoyed our meal here with a perfect view of the sunset over the bay. The crab cakes were outstanding and we also thoroughly enjoyed a selection of oysters and authentic boardwalk fries! The kitchen was very accommodating to a dietary restriction in our group, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The restaurant was just opening at the end of our vacation, or we probably would have worked our way through the whole menu night after night. By far, the best meal we had on our trip! Keep in mind they are just getting up and running, so if you encounter a few kinks (we didn’t), cut them some slack and have another round of drinks while you take in the view.
