The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this. We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country.     Our first visit. A warm welcome from the staff who were happy to explain how the tapas process works. The food was delicious and just the right quantity. Excellent wine choices at sensible prices. A really great experience. We will be back for sure.

    A lovely meal in a beautiful gastropub. Took the dog, family of 5, kids meal was loved by both kids, we ordered chateaubriand but waitress said cook wasn’t happy with it so after a slight delay they brought out a porterhouse half price along with some free starters. Which were unreal. Such a lovely gesture clearly service of the highest order, everyone happy with the meal, steak seasoned to perfection. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Hawthorn staff.

    A wonderful meal in a wonderful location. Staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Service was impeccable. Food was excellent and really good value for money. The pork loin was cooked to perfection and the black pudding was some of the best I've ever tasted. The potato rosti has gone into the top 3 potato dishes I've ever eaten - absolutely sublime. It was our first time here and it certainly won't be out last - an amazing hidden gem just outside Halifax.
