- DDebNorfolk/Suffolk •10 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoVisiting Ripon for the weekend and researched places to eat and fortunatley found The Old Deanery. Set in lovely historic house that has been decorated with calm colours and a lovely relaxed feel. We arrived and were warmly welcomed and taken to our table. Limited covers in restaurant so we did not feel hemmed in at all and great to have lots of space around us. Started with a cocktail and opted for tasting menu with accompanying wine flight. Exceptional food from the start with great wines that complimented the food. Some amazing tastes and experiences and it was clear that there was a real enthusiasm for the food and drink The Old Deanery provided. Small portions but you need that with a tasting menu and great to be able to enjoy the component flavours of the food down to the micro herbs and dressings Just lovely to go somewhere out of a big city and get such a high standard of food and service. We took over 3 hours to enjoy our fantastic meal and felt cared for all the time with nothing too much effort. Would highly recommend and we will make sure we visit Ripon again so we can return to The Old Deanery.More infoThe Old DeaneryPrice: Very Expensive• British• Ripon•4.7
- LLouiseYorkshire •7 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoFabulous meal ,started with cocktails at the bar then at the table shared a calamari starter which was delicious. Next was a duck Rendang curry with Jasmine rice and fishcakes with a side of chips and we shared chocolate truffles to finish with something sweet. All served beautifully. Loved it all and would highly recommend.More infoThe Ivy Harrogate Brasserie and GardenPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Harrogate•4.5
- TTiffanyYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoWell worth the money. It's not the cheapest around but it's one of the few places where you get what you pay for. The food is outstanding, the staff is knowledgeable and soooo helpful and go above and beyond. They listen to their customers and know what to recommend but will also make their own personal suggestions. Jeremy is a proper chilled man but he makes your experience very enjoyable.
