Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Dyer, IN

Overall a very nice experience. But, we stood at the front door for 30 minutes after our reservation time waiting to be seated. Service was friendly but slow. After ordering the cowboy bone-in ribeye, they brought out a bone-in filet. The blunder was quickly corrected. Desserts were outstanding! We definitely will come back, but at a later time when they are less busy.

First time visiting . Food and atmosphere was amazing. Had an opportunity to talk to owner Steve what a great guy! We Started off with the Smokey old fashion and a glass of wine followed by the Calamari and Oysters as Apps ask for some horseradish on the side for the Oysters Highly recommend the Salmon, definitely spicey but probably one of the best prepared Salmon I have ever had. She enjoyed the Thai Chicken salad which was also excellent As a side try the Brussels Sprouts Presentation of all of the food was outstanding A Chicago class restaurant in Northwest Indiana a must try. we will be back.

I ordered the filet with a double baked potato. It was done perfectly. I had the lobster bisque soup, which was outstanding. Our server Josh was fantastic! My friends ordered ribs, which she said were great, and chicken piccata, which she said was very good. Love this place!

The crab cake was fantastic and definitely worth it (despite being as expensive as some of the entrees). Paccheri with seafood was incredible and had a more diverse range of foods than I was expected. The conchiglie with salmon was also good but more cheesy than expected. Overall great atmosphere and experience, would recommend checking out.

We brought our two grandsons (ages 5 and 3) to the Walnut Room in Chicago on 1/3/2025, to experience the holiday decor. The "fairies" circulating around to each table were so engaging while chatting with our grandsons, and explaining how to "make a wish". Our server was very friendly and efficient, even under the pressure of a very busy day at the restaurant. The food was very good, and I was pleasantly surprised to see kids menu items available, which our grandsons thoroughly enjoyed. Two small glitches. . 1. Upon arrival, there were soiled napkins/food items on the floor next to one of the chairs at our table. I was disappointed at that mess. One of the "fairies" noticed this mess and got the staff to clean it up and 2. Our cocktails were served AFTER our food arrived. Despite these two small glitches, we had a wonderful time together, and on the way home, our 5 year old grandson told us he had the BEST DAY ever.
