Executive Chef Domenic Tudda spent his childhood years learning of Italian cuisine while his family owned and operated Stromboli's restaurant in Calgary.     We had family come to town and we thought Hayden Block would be a great place to take them as they love barbecue. The ambiance in the back with the fireplace is fantastic. It was great that my 16 year old nephew was able to enjoy the spot as they allow minors until 8:00 pm. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. The brisket was very tender. All of the sides were excellent. If you are a whiskey drinker they have an incredible selection which is half off during happy hour 3:00 - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday.

    We really loved what we ordered: Caprese salad, Arancini, Veal Tortenelli and the Crudo (pizza with panceta). I had been coming to this place for personal and organization events and they had been consistently amazing. It was my gf's first time and she was impressed as well. Our server was excellent. She is the calm in a hectic surroundings (it was Valentine's when we were there). We always sat together so she moved all of the utensils on the opposite side for me.

    Showed up early and was welcomed, seated and served first drink, coconut margaritas within minutes. Husband and wife establishment and you could feel the family type atmosphere. It’s a place that you go once and then it will be your go to from then on. Great location.

    Really enjoyed our first visit to Vero Bistro. The food was excellent, and our server was courteous and professional. Really appreciated the restaurant recommendations for our upcoming visit to Italy. Would have preferred to get our main courses a little quicker, but it was a busy night, so it wasn't a major issue. Looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu on our next visit.
