- CCarolineWashington, D.C. Area •20 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was our first time at this establishment. The food was amazing! Service was good. We had an early dinner so it was pretty quiet. They were playing some nice 80’s-90’s music which was good. We will definitely be going back.More infoBlackwall Hitch - AlexandriaPrice: Expensive• American• Alexandria•4.4

- AAlicePittsburgh / Western PA •2 reviews5.0Dined on 11 Nov 2024Run, do not walk, to Succotash! I was not expecting much, as I am a Northerner, and greens and grits are out of my wheelhouse. But everything at Succotash was eye-rolling, out-of-this-world delicious. We got the Taste of the South, which is shareable plates of most of everything on the menu. Our server, Xavier, assured us there would be plenty of food, and he was not kidding. We started with kimchi deviled eggs and fried green tomato salad with goat cheese. Then smoked chicken wings and an incredible hot sweet cornbread. The mains included local crispy catfish, BBQ pork ribs, chicken and waffles (amazingly crunchy crust and meltingly tender chicken!), collard greens with country ham, awesome mac'n' cheese. Xavier was magical, whisking away empty plates and bringing new ones. THEN mini pecan pies, and hummingbird cake truffles. We had to get a take-home box. Wow, wow, wow! Kudos to the chef and the kitchen staff. Everything was hot and beautifully plated. The only things we didn't get were grits and.. succotash!More infoSuccotash - National HarborPrice: Moderate• American• National Harbor•4.5

- BBradleyBaltimore / Maryland •2 reviews5.0Dined on 8 Nov 2024Scallops and shrimp entree was light (2/plate). Was expecting a few more scallops and/or shrimp on my plate, but quality was excellent. Other entrees I saw being brought to other tables were generous portions (chicken parm). Appetizer was very good. Complementary dessert for birthdays and anniversaries, which was unexpected and excellent. Very nice ambiance. If it had been warmer, we would have been able to enjoy our anniversary dinner with the plastic linings retracted. Many entree selections available from the menu. Will certainly visit again,More infoLa Vela Italian RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Italian• Solomons•4.7
