The Parlour Tea Room at Mad Dogs and Englishmen provides a vintage setting to enjoy Afternoon tea. We’ve become renowned for our themed teas which offer an unforgettable experience. Enjoy the eclectic surroundings of this unique venue.The Botanical Rooms is upstairs and hosts our cocktail bar. Here you can experience Afternoon Tea from Wednesday to Sunday during the day and enjoy the fairy-lit bar on Friday and Saturday evenings. We host live Jazz and soul on some evenings. The Piano Lounge with it's vintage leather sofas and a mixture of eclectic styled furnishings is situated on the ground floor alongside our Whisky Bar. You can enjoy an Afternoon Tea with Piano accompaniment on Sunday afternoons or sample some of our extensive Whisky cocktails on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Punchbowl is a 17th century gastro pub, located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and the South Essex Salt marshes. We offer nose-to-tail style menu, with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Our menu changes daily, as the season's best comes in, and always features day boat fish, meat, offal, rare breed steaks and excellent vegetarian cookery.Our beautiful garden bar has a lawn and york-stone patio looking out across the farmland of Paglesham and the River Crouch.     I’ve been to maddogs & Englishman quite a few times over the last year and every single time I go, I have such a brilliant experience with all the different themes that they go for. I’m never disappointed and always thoroughly enjoy it. I think my friend and I will be making a yearly visit!!!

    Thoroughly enjoyable lunch for 4 :- 1.Ham, eggs & Chips 2.Sea Bass, Crushed new potatoes, veggies 3.Cheesy cottage pie 4.Fishfinger sandwich with salad, chips All lovely. We will be returning to eat again.

    A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. My friend is vegan and they adapted a meal for them as well as going through the vegan options on the wine menu. Delicious food all round and a lovely atmosphere.

    Second time we’ve been to Harry’s Bar recently and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They have a good wine collection with prices to suit all budgets, the food is tasty and come in decent portions and the service is great. Will definitely be booking again soon
