Best Fun Restaurants in McKinney

Excellent food and very good service from the waiters/waitresses. The food is not your standard Tex/Mex.

We were visiting from out of town and picked this restaurant because it was different and had a cool back story of being a service station and unique menu. We had a reservation and arrived early and although the restaurant was empty except for two tables it seemed to throw the 2 girls at the front desk. They took us to a small table in the middle of the room-made for 2 people. I didn’t make a fuss because I was with other people but I hate sitting in the middle of a room and especially at a table made for 2 instead of 4-plenty of booths on both sides as well as larger tables in the same row. Our server took a long time to come greet us and then again to come back and take our order. The food was excellent and definitely had a small twist to some of them that made them special. We all made small changes to our choices and the server repeated them all and the kitchen made all of the changes for us without any problems. The prices are comparable and the interior has a neat vibe! The noise was minimal.

Our experience was pleasant and delicious. We had the carpaccio which was flavorful and the Cesar salad was fresh, crisp with great flavor. Our entrees were hot and perfectly cooked l. The casual atmosphere lends itself to the ambiance and low key vibe.

Had previously heard that the food at Urban kitchen was good, but was not expecting it to be that good… every meal served was absolutely amazing. Our waiter Dylan was amazing - very friendly and professional. I ordered a side of sweet chili Brussels sprouts, recommended by our server, and they were absolutely incredible! You can’t go wrong with anything you order. Highly recommend…

The food was delicious and well priced. When making a reservation the wait wasn’t bad at all. Great breakfast and lunch.
