Best Fun Restaurants in Millbrae

Absolute best Italian restaurant we have ever been to. It has become our weekly Friday date night tradition. Every single thing on the menu is mouth-watering. The owner, Will, is the epitome of what hospitality should be like. He greets every repeat customer by name (which is basically everyone who walks through the door), goes out of his way to make every single guests experience even better than the last, and is just ultimately the most kind person. If anyone ever asks for a recommendation anywhere near this area - this will always be the #1 spot on the list.

It was our first time at this restaurant and the couple who were next to us raved about how great the food is and even how awesome the service is. Yes, it was Valentine’s Day and it was very busy luckily I was able to make reservations a week before. We were able to get a table within 5-10 minutes after our reserved time. Once seated our waitress was so kind and was able to get our order in quick and items we ordered slowly started to trickle in. All the items we ordered was delicious. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend.

Good food — excellent calamari over a bed of lettuce appetizer & very good minestrone soup, delicious & very hardy veal marsala that comes w/ mash potato, polenta& veggies. The 3 medallions of veal were prepared just right & tender “submerged” in the “complex” thick sauce w/ mushrooms! The lamb shank is tasty & easily comes off the bone with knife & fork. However, the edges of the lamb seem to be “over done” & “scourged” so are hard to chew. The mash potatoes & veggies are good compliments to the dish. The pinot noir paired well with both dishes. The creme brûlée dessert was excellent along with a cup of the strong Cafe Americano!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rocca Ristrorante and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The Wait staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was seamless. Their genuine warmth and professionalism truly stood out. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The Halibut special they were offering that night was cooked to perfection, and the bread pudding was the perfect way to end the meal. It’s clear that the chefs take great pride in their craft, using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create dishes that are both innovative and comforting. The atmosphere of the restaurant was equally impressive. The decor was stylish yet cozy, with soft lighting and a layout that allowed for intimate conversations without feeling crowded. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, the ambiance strikes the perfect balance between elegance and relaxation. Overall, Rocca Ristrorante exceeded all my expectations. With its friendly waiters, amazing food, and great atmosphere, it’s a dining destination I’ll be returning to again and again.
