Originally a historic US Coast Guard Station built in 1888 by famed architects McKim, Mead & White, now a spectacularly located waterfront restaurant overlooking Narragansett Bay. Dine in one of our custom designed Igloos By the Sea at The Coast Guard House. There is an igloo rental fee for $100 for three hours. Each igloo is outfitted with a Bluetooth speaker, fireplace and heater. However, we do recommend dressing warmly and/or in layers. Our full menu is available for your enjoyment. We can not guarantee any specific igloo. Igloo reservations can be cancelled in inclement weather. There is a credit hold for $20 per person to complete your reservation. Your card will only be charged if you cancel a week or less or do not honor your reservation.

    I have to say this after just recently trying 2 items of the simply grilled menu at Surf Shack….. it is absolutely THE BEST simply grilled that I have ever had! So much flavor for the simplicity of it. Service is always exceptional too. I genuinely like every single person I meet here while dining or having drinks. Highly recommend!

    First time in the anchor room and it was an experience to remember. Made reservations for my anniversary and got exactly what I asked for for seating arrangements. Definitely recommend the lobster ravioli

    WONDERFUL!!! Everything was phenomenal! Our party enjoyed the drinks, appetizers, main course, and dessert. The bread pudding is amazing! It was my personal favorite. The real winners at the Coast Guard House are the staff. They are absolutely the best. They are so friendly and fun. Charissa (sp?) and Erin are the reasons we will go back time and again! Heck, we are going back for a third night in a row! Each igloo has a different theme to make the experience unique. I recommend getting there before sunset to take in the scenery in day and night. All igloo are right on the water.
